Nov. 18: No details yet due to Google coming up short, but I have some texts in to Churchill’s, Ryan Boone, and WNFIV to inquire.
Early sources say “high-end liquor bar and jazz club”.
Nov. 19 Update: This morning’s TBJ shared a link to the bar’s Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/pages/Proof-Five-Points/1536278323281278, that includes a few pictures from inside. The article also mentions that the bar is officially open for business.
Nov. 21 Update: I got the chance to stop by Proof last night with friends and have a round of drinks. It’s a little bare, but nice inside. High-end seating and fixtures and a nice outdoor patio behind the building, which will get a lot more attention if the owners add outdoor heat lamps before spring. Speaking of owners – we ran into a few familiar faces last night – Larry Carter (behind the bar) and Ralph Nelson, both of who I believe have an ownership stake in this new Five Points watering hole.
